A short, narrated look at the hand at work: an empty surface, charcoal, ink, watercolour and oil, the record that remains, and what the hand might learn next. Captions are part of the picture.

A late-night radio debate: a painter against, The Hand in favour, a host keeping the peace, a caller with a question, and an ice bucket for when it gets too hot.
A work of fiction, made for fun and for debate. Lamplight FM, its host, the painter and the caller are invented characters; The Hand speaks as La Mano might. Every voice is synthetic (Gemini text-to-speech), and the advertisement is a joke about Lettuce, the tool La Mano is built with.
The practice
It does not generate an image.
It works one.
La Mano begins with an empty surface. Stroke follows stroke—built, revised, softened, lifted—until the session comes to rest. The full record is held privately in Toronto.
